Youth Voices. Real Change. Lasting Impact.

Creating Change Where It Matters Most

Now more than ever, young people like you are stepping up and speaking out for mental health and GraySpace is right here with you. We’re building a bold movement for the future, led by teens, young adults, and youth advocates who are ready to shape real change at every level, from classrooms to Congress.

What We’re Fighting For:

Mental Health Access for All

We advocate for inclusive policies that make mental health care available to every student, no matter their background or location.

Stronger School Support Systems

We push for programs and policies that put trained mental health professionals in every school and college, so no one is left to struggle alone.

Youth Voice in Policy

We believe in the power of young people to shape the future. That’s why we’re creating space for youth voices to be heard in mental health legislation.

Safe and Supportive Communities

Our work focuses on building communities where mental health is openly talked about, respected, and protected by strong laws and practices.

You don’t need a degree or a fancy title to lead. Just your voice, your story, and your passion. Because when young people lead, real change follows.

Want to get involved?

Your voice matters. Whether it’s signing a petition, showing up at a town hall, or sharing your story with a decision-maker, you have the power to push mental health forward.
We’re growing a community of youth leaders, student advocates, and change-makers just like you. Let’s raise our voices and rewrite the future of mental health together.
Together, we can influence the policies that affect our lives and create a future where mental health is never overlooked.

Our Legislative Goals for 2025

At GraySpace Foundation, we believe young voices can spark real change, not someday, but right now. That’s why we’re pushing forward with two major legislative priorities in 2025 that center youth leadership and mental health access for all.

1. Put Mental Health Resources Right in Students’ Hands

We’re advocating for a law that makes schools share critical mental health resources, like the 9-8-8 crisis lifeline directly on student ID cards or through school-wide awareness tools.

Why it matters: Too many students struggle in silence during a mental health crisis. This small but powerful step makes sure every student knows where to turn for themselves or for a friend before things spiral. This idea was first proposed by students just like you. And now, it’s headed to the federal level.

2. Fund Youth-Led Mental Health Programs in Schools

We’re also calling for new laws that unlock federal funding for youth-led mental health efforts in:
  • High schools
  • Colleges and universities
  • Trade and career schools
Right now, programs run by students — like peer support groups, student-led mental health education, and youth wellness clubs — don’t qualify for most government support. That’s not okay. This legislation would change that and make youth-designed programs part of national mental health strategy.

For more than 20 years, young people have been rewriting the story of mental health through advocacy, support, and bold leadership. Today, students across hundreds of schools are creating change — but there’s more work ahead. If you believe in a future where mental health is taken seriously, where every voice matters, and where no young person is left behind — we want you on our team.

Let’s build a healthier future, together.
